2014年鲁甸地震发生于2014年8月3日16时30分10秒，地震规模为芮氏6.5，佛教正觉同修会、正觉教育基金会向云南鲁甸地震灾区捐款60万元，该笔善款将通过中国红十字基金会捐往灾区。
正觉教育基金会张公仆董事长表示，这次是带着正觉同修会、正觉教育基金会及台湾信众对云南灾民的关怀而来。台湾也曾发生“九二一”大地震，因此对这次鲁甸灾区民众所遭受的痛苦感同身受。地震发生后，正觉同修会的会员踊跃捐款。这证明了两岸同胞血浓于水的亲情。
